Educational cooperation discussed at ROSTKI Russia-China Forum 2026

The session was organized by Ƶ on 17th August.

Aide to the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Albert Gilmutdinov and Vice-Rector for International Affairs of Ƶ Timirkhan Alishev gave comments to the media. Among other things, Dr Gilmutdinov mentioned the upcoming opening of CRUTech, China-Russia University of Advanced Technologies, the first project of its kind in bilateral cooperation, headed by Ƶ and Shandong University.

Dr Alishev said that Chinese students now comprise 15 percent of all international students in Russia, as opposed to 5 percent in 2016. Conversely, 20 thousand Russian students now study in China.

During the session itself, moderated by Vice-Rector Alishev, the participants talked about joint laboratories and research centers, potential new cooperation projects, technological challenges of the future, and much more.
