Acting Rector Dmitry Tayursky met with Vice-Premier of Kazakhstan Roman Sklyar

The Acting Rector’s visit to the country concluded with a sit-down at the Government of Kazakhstan.
He was joined by Counselor to the Rector Rashid Azimov.
The sides discussed ongoing cooperation between Ƶ and numerous Kazakhstani institutions. In particular, Professor Tayursky spoke about joint programs in machine building with Kostanay Regional University and collaborations with the local private sector.
Vice-Premier Sklyar mentioned that universities are among the main drivers of the partnership between Kazakhstan and Russia. He also expressed keen interest in a potential establishment of a Ƶ branch in his country and pledged to promote this initiative. The Central Asian nation especially needs new qualified professionals in engineering and information technology.
