About Us...
Name
The name of the Association shall be the ÁñÁ«ÊÓƵ Parent Teacher Association (PTA).
Ìý
Goals of the PTA
The Parent Teacher Association is an informal association that consists of parents, teachers and school staff.
The goals include:
- Promote volunteerism of parents, teachers and staff.
- Promote close co-operation and communication between parents, school management, teaching staff and the school board.
- Enhance and promote the involvement of parents and teachers in the school as a community
- Support the school in a variety of ways both through fundraising and by improving school spirit.
- Promote family values and to make ÁñÁ«ÊÓƵ a home away from home.
The PTA strives to achieve these goals through informal, social activities in and outside the premises of the school in which parents, teachers and students have the opportunity to get to know each other outside the official structures of school.

Membership
All parents and teachers are automatically members of the PTA, irrespective of whether they attend the PTA meetings or not.
Parents get involved by planning events, organizing and managing the events, supporting the students, teachers and staff if there is a need.
Teachers and Staff are encouraged to do the same as the parents while also they may become involved by helping to plan events that encourage the education of the students.
Students get involved by participating in the PTA events and activities.

PTA Committee
The management of the PTA shall be vested in a PTA Committee which shall consist of 5members, including
-ÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌý President, Secretary, Treasurer, Teacher Liaison and one other parent.
-ÌýÌýÌý ÌýÌýÌýThe PTA Committee shall be elected annually at the beginning of the school year.
The PTA Committee shall have general powers to manage all the affairs of the PTA and to do any such thing to promote and achieve the objectives of the Association and more specifically to:
-ÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌý Plan and coordinate the calendar of activities and events of the school.
-ÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌý Provide volunteers for the PTA and school–led activities.
-ÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌý Raise funds for the Association and to manage and utilize the funds accordingly.

Accountability
The PTA is accountable to the School Board.
Fund Management and Financial Accountability
The PTA Committee shall manage the funds entrusted to the PTA for the organizing of events in an efficient and transparent manner.
The Treasurer of the PTA Committee shall keep accurate records of the finances of the PTA.
The PTA is authorized by the School Board to raise funds for its activities by charging fees and collect revenues from selling activities.
In the event of dissolution of the PTA, the balance of the PTA funds will be transferred to the School Fund.
The PTA Committee reports to the School Board and the General School Assembly during the annual General Meeting.
Events/Activities
The PTA encourages parents, teachers and staff involvement by providing events / activities that facilitate so.
Events and activities shall always be subject to the approval of the PTA President and the Superintendent of the ÁñÁ«ÊÓƵ.

Meetings
General meetings of the PTA
The PTA will meet twice a month at 8:30 AM at ÁñÁ«ÊÓƵ.
Annual General Meeting
During the Annual General Meeting towards the end of the school year, the President of the PTA shall deliver a report on the achievements, plans and financial performance of the PTA.
Ìý
Dissolution of the Association
The Association shall continue to exist until such a time as either the Board of the School or the majority of the PTA members shall decide to dissolve it.
