Best student science clubs of the year awarded in Emperor Ballroom

First Vice-Rector Dmitry Tayursky and Vice-Rector for Youth Policy and Moral Education Arif Mezhvedilov congratulated the winners.

Dr Tayursky noted that Ƶ has over 140 student science clubs counting over 3,500 students and wished them new achievements.

Vice-Rector Mezhvedilov informed that the science club movement at Kazan University dates back to the 19th century. He also said that a new meritorious title was inaugurated by Ƶ this year – Distinguished Mentor of Kazan University. The novelty is that it can be bestowed even on current students – should they excel at tutoring and curating their younger counteparts.

The first prize went to four clubs:

Center for Competition Preparation in Computer Programming (Institute of Computational Mathematics and IT);

Small Student Construction Bureau (Institute of Mathematics and Mechanics);

Cognomine Surgery Club (Institute of Fundamental Medicine and Biology);

Window to the East (Institute of International Relations).
